Spice Girls are getting ready for a Tour
It seems 2007 is the year of reunions. Not necessarily of good bands though. So far it’s been The Police, Smashing Pumpkings, now it’s Spice Girls. Unlike the Smashing Pumpkins, Spice Girls are reuniting with all original members in-tact.
Spice Girls are planning on filming a documentary and releasing new tracks while on tour. Additionally, they have announced that Brazil will not be included in the tour.
Spice Girls began their career with a single “Wannabe” released in 1996. In November 1996 they have released a full album “Spice.” In November 1997 they released “Spiceworld” which became a global best seller. It has sold over 7 million copies in 2 weeks, setting a new record for the best selling album.
In 1998 Geri Halliwell departed from Spice Girls thus putting an end to the Spice Girls. The live album, which was in the works at the time was never released. In November 2000 Spice Girls released their last album “Forver.” It achieved only a fraction of the success that two previous albums enjoyed.
